PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY
FADP to discuss upcoming execution / situation concerning representation of
prisoners by CCRC - Middle


          Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty director Abe
Bonowitz and retired Orange County Public Defender Joseph DuRocher will be
joined by area members of Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty
for a brief rally and press conference (outside the Criminal Justice
Center) prior to observing Amos King's hearing before Judge Susan Schaeffer
at 12:30 pm in Courtroom #1 at the Criminal Justice Center in Clearwater
Amos King, who has always maintained his innocence, is scheduled to be
executed in Florida on January 24, 2002.
